Faithful & Gould commissioned D5 to design their new office fit-out to accommodate 186 staff across three wings for their office in Birmingham city centre.
D5 undertook to break-up the existing open plan office with facing pairs of private offices dispersed along the length of each wing. Either side of the private offices are clusters of workstations, which (combined with the private offices) eliminates a potential 'sea of desks' by creating identifiable and individual working zones. A single large breakout space for the whole office with social kitchen and lounge area, aims to increase social interaction among all employees.
Director's offices were distributed around the reception to create a distinct reception area. A principle meeting room forms a backdrop to the reception The reception desk and primary meeting room have been used as a 'screen' to the rest of the office.
