Immediately following the completion of the first package, D5 won the commission to develop the employer’s requirements for the second package. Grander in scale, this trance of the terminal extension works built on the language of the original phase to complete the landside Millennium Link between T1 and T2 with new set down roads, expanded T1 departures lounge space and a fully segregated new pier with forward lounges.

On the inbound route the project comprised new immigration hall, international and domestic reclaim, control authority accommodation, customs hall and meeting and greeting areas.

The project was completed within 36 months from start to finish without the closure of any operational facilities.
