The Deaf Cultural Centre is unique in the UK with its provision of specific services for the deaf community. Designed with sign as the first language, the building is conceived as a bold outward statement.
Designed to enhance the streetscape and bring the deaf community into a more prominent position, the building houses public functions throughout the ground floor with support and community services over. The building is formed as a series of linked spaces with a high degree of flexibility and daylight. Users experience an intuitive journey through the building with long internal vista's with an open and relaxed atmosphere particularly tailored for the deaf user.
